Advanced Energy Storage LLC (AES) has developed a system of advanced hydraulic accumulator technology that can store energy at a meaningful density with competitive cost per kW hour. Additionally, the AES advanced accumulator energy bank will be applied to an overall micro-grid and grid level energy management system that will eliminate Lithium/chemical battery banks, optimize energy inputs from the grid, and provide low-maintenance peak management services applicable for public utility scale needs as well as serving remote and under served communities an alternative to life-limited, highly toxic, lithium battery banks.
Chemical storage batteries are environmentally hazardous from cradle to grave, cannot be safely charged or discharged rapidly, have life cycles that are limited by the number of charge/discharge cycles and rely on components that are in short supply and increasingly expensive. We will replace chemical battery energy storage in microgrid and grid scale energy storage applications with safe, fast charging/discharging, non-toxic, biodegradable, efficient, economical and long-lived mechanical systems: we will be safer, faster, better and cheaper.
While pending the receipt of an order for two small microgrids to from a Michigan based environmental non-profit for evaluation, a joint venture project with a solar developer with participation of a local college and a public utility, we invite potential PE funds to express their potential interest.
