Advanced Block Corporation

Disruptive new technology to building new construction faster, at higher quality, and with reduced costs.

Advanced Block Corporation is a custom designed mortarless block manufacturer for dry stack construction of high quality affordable housing, as well as for commercial, industrial and agricultural structures of all kinds.

We are raising $1,000,000 to launch our newly built dry stack concrete block plant manufacturing facility, to serve affordable housing needs.

 Our new plant in Clinton, Ontario is the province's only dry stack block manufacturer, and is scheduled to complete commissioning and commence commercial operations but the end of October, 2024. We seek additional funding to take our newly commissioned building materials manufacturing plant to commercial start-up.

 Core management includes a strong team with decades of experience in construction, wet and dry cast concrete products, manufacturing, finance and administration.

 It is our mission to provide high quality, affordable building solutions, building a better world one block at a time. We manufacture proprietary precision dimensioned, interlocking dry-stack concrete blocks under exclusive license, to build strong, fireproof, waterproof walls that are immediately load bearing, fully insulated, aesthetically prefinished on both sides, and ready for use – much faster and at lower cost than competing building systems. We have now proven our building materials and installation techniques, established pricing, productivity and profitability levels and are ready to proceed with sales and manufacturing.

 The problem: housing shortages; unavailable, unattainable, unaffordable. Canada needs over 500,000 new homes per year, with over a third of these in Ontario, yet Developers are only managing to build about half of that, and even then, the units are simply not affordable to many.

 Today’s housing construction environment faces numerous challenges including:
•an aging workforce with increasing scarcity of skilled trades,
•high and ever-increasing building costs,
•long timelines and scheduling challenges,
•environmental concerns, and;
•supply chain shortages.

 These combine to make new construction expensive and even unattainable.

 We offer practical solutions to these challenges with an affordable building system that:
•builds faster
•provides higher quality
•lowers cost through productivity
•reduces the reliance on skilled trades
•Features greater safety and durability.

 Our main competitors are traditional methods of construction such as:
wood or steel stud framing,
mortared masonry block,
formed concrete,
ICF ‘stay-in-place’ concrete forming, and;
tilt-up concrete.

 Traditional stud framing and ICF construction are:
more costly,
take longer,
are much more vulnerable to fire risk,
have a reduced service life expectancy,
are more expensive to heat and cool, and;
are vulnerable to pest infestation and damage.

Mortared block is:
much weaker than our steel reinforced concrete walls
Uninsulated, most often needs added framing and insulation
often needs improved finishes to both interiors and exteriors adding to costs
much slower (over 5X) in construction

 Formed concrete and tilt-up concrete are both:
much slower, needing up to four weeks curing time
more costly in labour, materials
most often need added insulation
need interior and/or exterior finishes adding time and costs.

 We have NO direct competitors and are the only supplier of dry stack mortarless block in Ontario. Conventional block is too dimensionally inconsistent to meet the building code for dry stack installation techniques.

Additionally, our designs lend themselves well to new robotics installation equipment that are currently being tested in various markets including Florida, Australia, and Germany

 Our plant has the production capacity of over 4,100 block per day (producing four 8” blocks at a time, with a 28 second cycle time), and close to double that with a second shift. It could take as little as two installation crews to use up shift production. Our financial projections are at a very conservative 20% of production capacity (750 /day avg.) and show strong profits at that level with healthy margins.

 We are seeking to fund required additional equipment, to further enhance productivity, and to recover working capital (having spent over $1,630,000 to date getting us to this point), in preparation to fully launch this company into commercial production. Our projections anticipate achieving positive cashflow by mid-November 2024, and breakeven by May 2025, with profits by year ending Aug 2025, and strong growth potential with increased volumes and margins beyond that, as we improve product recognition and market acceptance.
