Hi, my name is Kiran panchanani, I am an inventor, I would like to pitch an idea here, I have build a prototype, which works on that idea ( electric stair cart and dolly) the purpose of this prototype is as follows,
1 :- to move heavy items which are difficult to carry on stairs , like household groceries, bottled items like water, soft drinks etc on stairs
2 :- to move above items on a graded slopes, example:- from a car to inside home after shopping ( in cities where street car parking is far from homes) or moving stuff in between house levels, in a apartments without a Elevator.
3 :- can be used as beach cart, or yard dolly.
The prototype I build can carry up to 100 pounds weight, however it can be build to move even heavy weights if necessary, it shows the potentiality of its future applications it can be built for. It proves a heavy load carrying or a heavy duty machine don’t have to heavy or non portable by itself,
I believe there is a huge market for such a machine, considering many homes and apartments don’t have elevators and I believe there are not much machines like the one I built, but they are some commercial versions made by few name brands like magliner, but they are run on different mechanism, making it difficult for regular household uses, because it uses a 12 pound electric motor, ( my prototype uses half a pound motor) it makes the machine heavy and non portable, and it can be used only on stairs but not on slopes or ramps,( where it’s hard move heavy products) the heavy motor is expensive too, which makes the device pricier( around 2000$) or ( around 800$ for copycat versions on Amazon) heavy ( around 50lbs) and can’t be disassembled, which limit’s the household usage , mine will be a residential version being lighter, portable ( can be folded and placed in car trunk along with shopping items) simple and reliable transmission with a motor attachment easier to assemble and disassemble ( for every grocery or shopping visit) in minutes , I made a video which shows all the work the machine can do in different scenarios and where it can be used, it’s not just the device I am pitching here, but the actual mechanism by which the device works has several more applications for future innovations, like child strollers where terrain is hilly or on beaches ( it’s almost impossible to move a normal stroller on beach or child stroller on uphill, there’s no such device in market ) heavy duty yard work or lawn dolly’s, self assembled stair lift for homes, assisted electric stair climbing wheel chairs, beach buggy, portable rideable golf cart , all terrain buggy, small recreational type vehicle ( wheel or track based )small hydraulic lift kind of device etc, most of the above mentioned products have no competition in the market which will increase the chances of success , coming to the cost of building my Current prototype, excluding the battery pack, the whole device was build under 200$, however when manufactured in bulk it might be built for even less, with using a high quality lithium batteries, the price to build might come to 250 to 300$, that’s the basic version, to be used on sand or graded terrain as a dolly , applicable wheels can be sold separately as attachments , as they can be easily attached and detached ( one size fits all) depending on the work the customer likes to use it.
