Commercial Cleaning Company
Problem:
The problem is funds and funding. I started my company A2A Ventures dba Madison Cleaning Services with absolutely nothing in my pocket but $62 dollars ten years ago and grow it to where we were before Covid-19 with over 20 employees and where we are today with ten employees but having difficulties making payroll, buying supplies, paying for offices expense and funding projects while waiting to be paid. I am in need of funds and cash flow to allow me to pay workers easily and buy materials and supplies needed for work so I could focus on growing my business without stressing out of how to pay workers rather focus on building my business, hiring and retaining employees. I started my company in 2011 with $62 dollars in my pocket and one employee but built it to having over 20 employees before Covid-19 came resulting in us losing restaurant and office sector clients. It was difficult and still a struggle but we made it through Covid-19 and going strong with 10 employees. I cannot give up. I have never given up. Access to funding to fund and run my business would be a huge help and urgently needed financial relief to push my business forward, not only that but it would be easier for me to manage, fund projects and make payroll without constantly stressing out on how workers were going to get paid or project funded.
I am a go-getter and an immigrant who came to America from an African village at age 24…upon my arrival to America, I couldn’t read, I couldn’t write but I didn’t let my weaknesses and limitations stop me from dreaming of having a college degree in an American university someday. I started somewhere by getting my GED first, went to a Community College and then to Arizona State University where I got my bachelors in Political Science and then for my MBA. It hasn’t been an easy ride but out of it all, I believed in the American dream and as why I started my company in final year of graduate school broke with only $62 dollars in my pocket. I was homeless for 11 days sleeping at Wal-Mart parking lot with my dog Madison of whom I named my business after. My business plan continued with all the difficulties of not knowing anyone in Denver or having a place to stay…I kept on dream and went ahead and started the business regardless of my situation or living condition. I think I am the American dream or attempting to achieve the American dream but I need financial help to carry my business to the next level.
Solution:
My distribution strategy has been tested and has worked. Example, I started a business with just $62 dollars in my pocket ten years ago and have brought in over $5,000,000 dollars in revenue without investors or bank loans. I am constantly making the effort to sell our services which is cleaning to every client who calls in, email or text and booking their cleaning appointments within 24 hours of having contact with our clients except for commercial or construction cleaning products that doesn’t take place immediately due to their projects still under construction or office space clients where their lease hasn’t started yet. We are always ready and accepting new clients including same day and weekend appointments. We offer green and harmless cleaning solutions without over charging our clients as a way of introducing less hash cleaning products to them in return to helping our environment. It would have been natural for every client to request green cleaning solution compared to non-green products right? No, most clients, all they are looking for is a clean home or clean offices. We took it upon ourselves to deliver quality work, great customer service and green solution at affordable rate unlike other cleaning companies that over charge clients for requesting green cleaning products. We at Madison Cleaning Services understand the benefits of offering our clients affordable rates while keeping with high standard and quality cleaning. We are constantly looking for solution to improve and at the same time focusing on growth.
Customer:
Our customers are Commercial and Residential clients in need of cleaning services at their places of work, construction sites/projects or their homes. Our clients ranges from builders, developers, real estate investors, home owners, commercial real estate, hospitals, schools, gyms, office spaces, and or one-time clients who are looking for move-in move-out cleaning service. We have done work for clients like Amazon, the military, uncountable builders, small and large businesses, property management firms, homeowners and so forth. Work is Work is our motto. Work is work and every client is valuable and important.
Business Model:
The solution to current cash flow shortage and challenges that has made it difficult to fund projects, pay workers and purchase needed materials and supplies without stressing out heavily once resolved will generate revenue, allow me to focus on building my business, meeting new clients and grow my company 100 folds. I am 100% positive that if this opportunity is given and access to funding is available, it will make it easier for me to run payroll, purchase supplies and fund projects smoothly and at the same time creating opportunities and hiring more people on my team. My goal is to build my company into a national brand. Access to funding and cash flow will allow me to grow my business into three states starting in Arizona within the next three years. Our main focus is in Construction Cleaning, Janitorial Cleaning, Restaurant Cleaning, School Cleaning, Move-out and Move-in Cleaning and so fort. My business Model is all Cleaning is Cleaning. We at Madison Cleaning Services don't reject customers or projects…work is work!!! This attitude and strong work ethics came from me growing up in an African village without electricity, no drinking water except water from swamp, and no food except you go to the farm for food and whatever is needed to survive is what has thought me a lot about life and the struggle to keep on going no matter. That same energy, attitude and mindset has brought my business to where we are today and would take us to where we are going.
Vision go-to-Market:
For marketing my business, I believe we shouldn’t limit ourselves to one avenue when it comes to marking and that is why I use different advertising strategy that I feel would work and has worked including social media marketing and advertising agencies like Google, Go Daddy, Craigslist, word of mouth, references, post cards and door to door strategy to reach out to customers.
Competitors:
I really don’t focus on my competitors but they are Molly Maids, 5280 House Cleaning, Merry Maids, Legacy Construction Cleaning and Denver Cleaning Service Company. Researching many or all these cleaning companies their services and area of service are limited. Example, those who are in residential cleaning don't do commercial cleaning. Those who do commercial cleaning do not do construction cleaning, Janitorial cleaning and so forth but at Madison Cleaning Services we target all cleaning no exception and it is this formula and strategy that has set us apart from other cleaning companies. We specialize in Construction Cleaning, Janitorial Cleaning, House Cleaning, Restaurant Cleaning, School Cleaning, Move-out and Move-in Cleaning and so fort. Our business Model keeps us ahead of our competitors and brings in different cleaning projects to our table. Cleaning is Cleaning! Work is work. We at Madison Cleaning Services don't reject customers work is work and that is our philosophy!!! If you are raised in an African village…you will understand the definition of hustling for your food and survival so competitors got nothing on me…my limitation is access to funds and that is what has held my business growth and expansion.
Team:
I have a lot of talented individuals on my team including great field managers and an office assistant who is a go-getter. Diana my office assistant is a 26 years old mother of three and she is my right hand person. She helps run the office as well as implementing new ideas, bringing in new talents and field workers. Our marketing strategist Halley is another go-getter who goes out talking to clients face to face, over the phone selling our services to new clients and constantly working on new or improving old marketing and advertising strategies.
Total Addressable Market:
The cleaning sector is a lucrative industry creating over 3.5 million jobs yearly in the United States and provides maids and janitors good paying jobs that starts at $32,000 dollars yearly for full-time maids and janitors. It is a $74 billion dollars industry and keeps growing and we want to tap into it and build a national brand. Even with Covid-19 and us losing restaurants and office space clients our doors weren’t closed. I don’t believe anything would stop our growth or my dream of building a national brand. Limited access to funds and cash flow to run my business is my problem, if that could be resolved, then I would focus on what I know best…growing my business and creating jobs. 50% of our clients stay with us and or are repeat customers who continue using our services and introducing us to friends and business partners. We at Madison Cleaning Services pride ourselves in excellent customer service and providing quality cleaning.
Milestones/Traction:
Coming to America from an African village is a milestone. Not knowing how to read and write upon arriving in America but 10 years later have earned a college degree is a milestone. Starting a business with $62 dollars as a homeless graduate student and growing it to hiring over 20 employees in a giving time without loans or access to funds is a milestone. Keeping my office open during Covid-19 and still maintaining employees is a milestone. Signing new contracts worth over $450,000 dollars that are under construction at the same time is a milestone. Having an American college degree as a child farmer from Africa is a milestone. Working full-time as a full-time student and training herself at Arizona State University was a milestone. Running payroll without knowing where the money will be coming from or how I could pay workers while waiting to be paid and missing mortgage payment is a huge sacrifice and a milestone. Coming to my office daily knowing the struggle ahead is a milestone. Writing proposals and submitting them to corporate America, big name construction companies and businesses without the fear of rejection or my writing not being perfect as American native born is a milestone. Getting hired 7 projects out of 10 proposals submitted is a constant milestone. I was laughed and made fun of when I newly came to America and told people of my dreams and plans of attending an American university even though I couldn’t read or write...I could have given up and listen to negative voices. Regardless of my limitation, I got my GED and proceeded to an American university and graduated with a degree…that was a milestone.
