Hi, my name is AJ, I'm from a very small town in northwest Iowa.

 I created an all in one gig work and ride-share app for rural communities called A Boss App.    https://bossworkapp.com/

When we first published A Boss App it quickly gained traction with over 10,000 downloads in the first couple months.

 This leads me to believe that there is a demand and market.

 However we ran into a snag with users not liking the  $4.99 monthly subscription we put in there to cover cost and maintenance. We put this in the app to avoid monetizing it by selling ads on the app and keeping it equal opportunity for everyone. 

To fix this problem and make it the app  free I have plans to build and install a payment software for users to pay each other but i have run out of personal funds.

Here is a summarized story of how the idea came about, how its going and what we need to take it across the finish line.


Problem Statement: Managing a farm of 6,000 pigs taught me firsthand the challenges of finding reliable help for short-term and sporadic tasks. Traditional methods of hiring, such as calling around or posting on social media, were time-consuming and often ineffective.

Solution: A Boss App is the solution to this problem. It provides a simple and efficient way for users to find and hire local service providers for tasks such as lawn mowing, house cleaning, grocery shopping, and even ride-sharing.

Market Opportunity: The market opportunity for A Boss App is significant, with a growing demand for flexible and on-demand services. Our initial launch saw over 10,000 downloads, indicating a strong interest in the platform.

Business Model: We have developed a sustainable business model that involves a payment processor for jobs and gigs, ensuring secure and timely payment for both users and service providers. This model addresses the issues of monetization and user retention that we faced in our initial launch.

Competitive Advantage: A Boss App offers a competitive advantage with its user-friendly interface, wide range of services, and efficient matching of users and service providers. Our platform is designed to be intuitive and accessible to all users.

Progress and Milestones: We have made significant progress with A Boss App, including developing a working prototype . Our next milestones include incorporating the payment processor into the app and launching a marketing campaign to increase awareness and user adoption.

Funding Needs: We are seeking $200,000 in funding to further develop and market A Boss App. This funding will be used to complete the payment processor integration, launch a marketing campaign, and cover legal fees.
