A Better Way Home Safe Residence for Survivors

We are building a 40 bed women's mental health therapeutic home for survivors in Indiana. For the past five years, we have run a 6-bed home and get calls daily for more. During this period, we have graduated 81 women with 32 kids, reduced substance abuse/addictions, decreased suicide, treated mental illness, provided pregnancy care, and moved our residents into permanent homes, jobs and self agency. Three babies were born, nine were raised, and all our kids who were old enough attended school with As and Bs plus evening activities at the residence with interns and staff.

We are well staffed thanks to Interns and students interested in gaining experience in working with trauma, genuine humanity in our staff, and compassionate family style home that even our graduates return to for the holidays.
