3 Betties Foundation, Inc.

We are a small cancer nonprofit trying to make a difference in our rural state.  We have been mostly working in our home county, and on a limited basis reaching out to the border counties.  We are in the process of finding funding to do a state-wide needs assessment for those families dealing with a cancer diagnosis.  A lot of folks don't realize that the American Cancer chapters shut down over the pandemic, so many needs are suffering.  We want to be able to see that maybe a certain resource used to be available through 'x' company, but they had to drop it because of budget cuts, that we can pick it up.  Or maybe there's a program idea that no one has thought about that we can offer folks.

It could be a family looking for financial assistance to help with the mountain of bills and expenses during treatment, or maybe it's just a family looking for a certain resource in their rural area.  We want to be able to reach out to the far reaches of our state and say "What can we help you with so that you can focus on reaching remission?"  Once we find enough funding to expand the idea, we can sit down and break the state into regions and plan listening sessions and a needs assessment to contact various partners to discuss.  Whether it's the medical providers, patient families, government officials on different levels, etc.  Everyone involved in 3 Betties Foundation, Inc. has been affected at some level by a diagnosis, so we know what these families are going through!  While the National folks are out there trying to make millions of dollars to expand their outreach, we want to show folks that we are there for THEM.
