My name is Cory, I have been in the automotive repair business for 38 Years at one time on paper was a senior master ASE certified technician. I have also ran my own business inside that 38 years for 7 years with the last 10 years managed and operated 5 repairs shops for Tuffy Auto Service. I have gained a lifetime of knowledge on how to run a business and be extremely profitable. One thing I have gained is on how horrible junk yards are on getting any used parts, such as long period of time to get the part (sometimes up to a week). The part is untested and is find out bad after install, the part has also been sitting outside in the weather while the vehicle rots away around it. And try and get someone to answer the phone with a positive attitude let alone just answer. My solution is to start a business of purchasing salvaged, junk, unwanted vehicles from auctions, advertising, and the many many repair shop connections I have gained throughout the years at no more than $300 per vehicle, dismantle them and inventory all the good parts, with an average of more than $7000 return on the most common parts. Take the rest of the parts (damaged, rusted, unusable) and scrap them for an instant cash return. I am looking for help getting the equipment, inventory, employment costs and office equipment needed to get started. I have had a professional business plan made and would be looking for $450,000 to get started. Ten year plan is to have several locations running to the revenue of $1.5M to $2.5M a year per location.
