Everyone loves a David and Goliath story, and I am no different. My whole adult life I have been developing products in market segments dominated by large multi-national multi-billion dollar corporations. It's exciting, because although these Corporations have advantages over 'David' (purchasing power, supply channels, relationships, etc), they also have many disadvantages which makes it fun and easier to compete than many think (high overhead, red-tape, unmotivated management, etc). My experience in this has lead my companies to a lot of success. This motivated me to create our latest product-line: 2CANZ® Headphones
. (Because what can be more fun than taking on brands like Beats, Sony, Bose, JBL, etc. ) 2CANZ® Headphones
were developed to provide great quality sound, with modern visual appeal, in premium packaging, at a reasonable price.
We designed, developed, created quality control measures, manufactured and certified our 2CANZ® 2ONE™ model (Wired Over-Ear Headphone) in early 2020 and our first production run was produced and ready for the market in the end of Q3, 2020. On October 21, 2020 we introduced 2CANZ to the world through Amazon.com (promptly bringing them to market directly), quickly becoming Amazon's #1 DJ Headphone in November and December 2020
. We sold out our first production run much faster than anticipated, and had to patiently wait as our next production run was completed. In this industry, you don't just need quality and a price-point, you need reputation, and we understand that. In our down-time we were able to form relationships with reputable music artists, willing to work with our brand. One artist in particular stands out to us the most, and seems to have the most interest in working with our brand. This artist is one of the top artists in the country currently. However, if we were to agree to a deal with this artist at the moment, we would not have the inventory to back up the tremendous increase in sales we would anticipate from their endorsement.
We are looking to raise $1 million to position 2CANZ® to begin to take market share from competitors in a sustainable way, in this $34 billion per year industry. We will use these funds accordingly:
- Ramp up production of our current models
- R&D for new models (We have many new models already designed to fit different market niches [Gaming, Bluetooth, Wired, Over-Ear, On-Ear, Etc]). Some of our custom injection molds are completed, some molds are still required to be made. We also need to get these products certified and get the necessary licensing to bring them to market properly.
- Finalize our celebrity endorsement deal
