Asset-backed Midwest trucking fleet deployment tied to livestock & agricultural freight.

This operation is focused on livestock and agricultural transportation throughout the Midwest. The goal is to operate a small, efficient fleet hauling cattle, feed ingredients, grain, hay, and agricultural equipment between ranches, feedlots, elevators, and processing facilities. Demand for reliable trucking in these lanes is consistent due to the movement of livestock and commodities year-round.

The business model is straightforward: trucks and trailers are deployed into established freight lanes and paid per loaded mile or contracted load. Revenue is generated through hauling livestock, grain, and agricultural products for ranchers, feedlots, elevators, and agricultural businesses across the region. The operation is designed to focus on utilization, disciplined costs, and dependable service rather than rapid expansion. At least 2 to 4 of the trailers will be pulled by sub-contracted owner operators as we will dispatch them and take a weekly percentage, this helps utilize fleet and increase revenue.

Customers include livestock producers, feedlots, grain elevators, hay suppliers, and other agricultural operators that require dependable transportation. Many of these relationships already exist within the regional agricultural network, where consistent service and reliability matter more than scale. Agricultural freight tends to be relationship-driven, and operators who show up consistently keep the work.
For grain and feed hauling we have a contract in place with another regional ag-trucking carrier that will dispatch all grain and feed loads for us, they have loads ready for us to haul year-round. We will also take on any overflow that their fleet can’t handle.  Long term plan would be to prove fleet reliability and lock in more contracts.

The equipment plan includes all newer low-mile trucks and all trailers will be newer as well. Trailers types will be specialized and suited for livestock and agricultural freight such as live-bottoms, cattle pots, and step-decks. This allows the operation to handle multiple types of loads and stay productive through different seasons. Flexibility between livestock, feed, and agricultural equipment helps maintain steady utilization. 3 trucks and 8 trailers.

The operator previously worked as a single-unit owner-operator and has direct experience in trucking, agricultural freight, and the day-to-day realities of running equipment on the road. The approach to this operation is practical and disciplined, focusing on running reliable equipment, maintaining strong relationships in the industry, and growing steadily based on demand.

Overall the business is built around a simple concept: dependable trucks moving essential agricultural products where they need to go. Doing what single unit owner operators can’t do.
