Hello! Thank you for even reading this. My name is Danielle and I am opening an all-vegan restaurant in Brandon, FL. We will be the only plant-based eatery in the area (or for 25 miles) and we have seating for 94 in our beautiful space.
Vine Vegan will be a Brandon, FL-based restaurant that will serve a broad range of cuisine that does not contain any animal products, and uses eco-friendly and biodegradable packaging. Vine Vegan was founded by Danielle Stevens.
It should be immediately noted that the demand for vegan cuisine has increased substantially over the past ten years. More people have become concerned about their health and the impact that their food choices have on the environment. Nearly 9.8 million Americans consider themselves to be strict vegans. 1 in 3 Americans are eating plant-based meals more than 1 time per week.
Despite the fact that America’s culinary history is deeply seeded in meat and animal by-products like dairy and eggs, the transition over to plant-based cuisine has happened quickly and smoothly. Vegan restaurants are more popular than ever before, and the demand is only growing.
Vine Vegan, through its unique menu and inviting atmosphere (including an “Instagram-worthy aesthetic”), will provide its customers with outstanding vegan fare during breakfast, lunch, and dinner hours and a place to gather.
We are actually days away from opening (construction is done, food is ordered, staff is hired and trained), we are ready!
What is stopping us is that we uncovered a catastrophic issue with the wiring of the ansul hood system and has put us at a standstill for 17 days. We anticipated opening November 11th and each day we aren't open, we are losing an estimate of $3000-4000 a day. We also missed out on Thanksgiving meals to go and black Friday specials. We conservatively estimate a loss almost $75k in revenue.
The unexpected issues in the kitchen (along with a surprise new sprinkler system and new water heater needed 2 weeks ago) have totaled another $15,000 in outgoing as well.
The landlord had us not pay rent until month 6, and now it's come due and we haven't opened to make any revenue yet.
We are looking for an investment of $75,000-$100,000 to help us back on our feet to get the doors open.
Please note that we have no other investors involved at all. My husband and I have funded the entire project and have a $100k loan we are paying on.
thank you so much for your consideration.
