Business, specifically commerce and the care of our skin has always been my passion and I was determined to make my mark in the world by following my passions, even as a child this was evident.
I earned my MBA from American University and wasdeeply inspired to become an entrepreneur. From that moment on I was 100% dedicated to the learning process to become just that. After graduation I started working as a commercial lending officer in First Woman’s Bank of Maryland and excelled quickly to make the move to NYC ‘s Manufacturer Hanover Bank . In 1987 I moved to Los Angeles and started a family. Once my children were 10+yrs., I opened my boutique Temptress, a personal oasis where all our welcome, consisting of 20,000 sq.ft,offering the best of service and brands available in the luxury market for Palos Verdes. You might say I wanted to bring the big box brands to the neighborhood which worked beautifully as it became a destination for locals and tourists.
I have gained a wealth of knowledge over the past 25+ years from working personally with the end consumer, prescribing skincare and cosmetics to meet their demands. It’s truly been an honor to cultivate vast intimateconnections plus it opened multiple avenues for us as a family to give back on a local, national, and internationallevel. Our philanthropy initiatives make my heart sing.
As I continued to grow my family and I became inspired to create a skin care line, honestly, it was an organic progression. To start we knew the brand needed to be all inclusive, solution driven for everyday and the future skin concerns, plus affordable luxury.
A close colleague introduced us to one of the best laboratories, steeped with expert scientist - chemist, specializing in luxury skincare, located in France. The team proceeded with a deep dive into our ethos and aligned my products to reflect what is of the most importance to us. Highly efficacious formulas that deliver immediate and long-term results with responsible formulation practices, (i.e Cruelty Free, we do not use Dyes, PEG’s, Artificial Fragrance, Parabens, Phthalates, Mineral Oil, etc). Cold processing was a must, would never consider anything other.
Within 5 years, Vie de Mer was born in 2018. We sold exclusively to my clients and direct consumers. I learned quickly that this is a brand that needs to be available in the luxury skincare market so we refreshed the packaging and added some meaningful skus to the assortment and are now primed for the first introduction taking place in the USA market QTR 4 2022.
Our message is clear: Vie de Mer is deeply changing the way we envision beauty. We believe that every age is exquisitely beautiful – a possibility for playful exploration to mingle with compassionate wisdom. At Vie de Mer, that’s the space we live in.
