United Paw Force mission is to provide quality and affordable In-home per care for active duty military service members, their families and DOD employees living on military installations.
I started providing pet care using a team dynamic in November 2017, while living on one of the isolated US Army installations. I am a military spouse married to an active duty soldier with a huge love for animals. Over the years and many army adventures, I have personal knowledge, experience and understanding of military life. Unemployment for Military spouses is an average of 28% and even higher in different areas. As I am considered a senior spouse, I have the opportunity to mentor and support other wives. I have made this my focus and life goal. I want to make a difference for other spouses in a positive way by creating an employment opportunity that can be continued at any military installation.
United Paw Force uses a team dynamic approach when providing pet care. This enables us to guarantee our services to clients. If the assigned care team member is unavailable to be on time to any of the 4 rounds of service we offer daily (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Nighttime Let Out) another team member will step in and provide coverage. Clients will never need to stress or worry about their pets when away. Working as a team we make sure no pet is left waiting for any reason when life happens, and a sitter is unavailable.
Over the last two years, demand for our services has required us to expand to nearly 80 care team members at our first site. Despite this growth the demand for our services continues to grow and outpace our own team growth.
To help support client booking, care team schedules, assignments and client invoices we now have a web site and mobile app. Our app also provides GPS tracking for dog walks, journal updates for client's pets at each round with pictures and videos and more.
United Paw Force opened an additional 10 locations on October 1, 2020 and is currently hiring and accepting new clients. With another 27 programmed for launch in 2021.
Over 95% of our workforce is comprised of military spouses, a demographic that is challenged to find stability in professional careers because of the need to move frequently. One of our goals is to help military spouses by providing meaningful and rewarding opportunities with competitive compensation.
