We are opening a doggy daycare/boarding and training company on our 4 acres within a metropolitan of 1M. There are 18 locations now, 4 of them would be our direct competitors, all which have waiting list to get in. The closest population we would consider competitive has 85,000 homeowners, of that 64.5% (or 54,825) are dog owners. Of that 42% (or 24,026) send their dogs to daycare. Sharing that with the four would mean we would have access to 4802 dogs. We only need 60 to meet our max income potential for year one which is over $1M in revenue. We would have an acre and a half to run on vs concrete in the city. Our location is easily accessed. The global statistics on the pet care industry showing 2022 at $280 BN with anticipated growth of $550 BN by 2032. Covid has left many dog owners without a home for their pets since they were home with them for over a year. I myself own 6 dogs, am a very big dog lover so this is more than just a money maker for me. We will have a training facility that will train dogs that will be used for therapy and for search and rescue dogs. The cost to get one of these dogs ready for service is usually around $50K. I have ran several successful business throughout my life, but there has never been one I am more excited about. We own the land, I just need to put the building up and the fence.
