We want to form an advisory/equity partnership with an investor(s) who enjoy being hands on and sharing their past experience to work towards cultivating a new business venture and in exchange for funding, an equity multiple of 1.8x - 2.1x, IRR 16% -20%.
Management:
Mr. James E. Spence, Jr. is the founder of TORC Investments. As a former resident of Costa Rica, he is intimately familiar with the people, culture, and local high-end real estate market.
While living in Costa Rica, James developed the core concept of the TORC Fund: generate superior investment returns by taking advantage of high-demand and limited supply of luxury villas available for short-term rental, in a place that attracts tourists and provides for an incredible getaway/vacation experience. James holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Accounting and is currently pursuing a Masters of Business Administration degree. James has served with honor in three different branches of the U.S. military: The U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army, and the U.S. Air Force. When he’s not traveling the world, he calls Atlanta, Georgia his home.

Bruce McKillican is the founder of Stay In Tamarindo, Inc. A premier company with a partnership with Marriott Bonvoy manages over 80 high-end properties. Bruce moved from San Diego to Tamarindo, Costa Rica in 2003. In the Land of “Pura Vida” he found a market for luxury travel and experiences. Bruce brings his nearly 20 years of marketing of luxury rental
property expertise to optimize the occupancy & rental rates for TORC's portfolio of luxury properties. Bruce’s firm also provides
property management services and will serve as TORC’s “boots onthe ground, helping to manage our portfolio of villas.

estate sales agent for one of the first major projects in Guanacaste. Four years later, Grant joined renowned Boston-based luxury brokerage LandVest, the exclusive affiliate of Christie’s Great Estates in New England, as Project Manager. After his international marketing and sales efforts led to several regional sales records, Grant returned to Costa Rica in 2004 serving as a broker for both Hacienda Pinilla and Sotheby’s International Realty. In 2006, he established brands Grant McLean Luxury Real Estate and Tamarindo Real Estate,
offering expert local knowledge, global marketing, and luxury service to select international clients. He exclusively represents several prominent, privately-owned single-family
