The Scene is a one stop shop for personalized, on demand recommendations with guaranteed reservations in NYC, delivered to you in seconds - quite literally a life hack for your social life + your personal pocket concierge. The Scene's user base grew by 162% from Oct - Nov, from 648 to 1631 users and is currently at 2500 users. We have a 100% MAU, 73% WAU and 13% DAU. We also have an Instagram following of 6000+ and a strong social media platform as a tastemaker in the NYC *scene*. Given that OpenTable lost 100M users over the last 2 years and never managed to regain that user base, even post pandemic, we believe that that set of dissatisfied users are seeking a product and experience like The Scene.

We also specialize in blowing up “hidden gems” + creating demand for restaurants that aren’t as well known. We made a conscious effort to support POC owned restaurants and in the age of Tik Tok, where a handful of restaurants blow up and you can then never secure reservations at those spots, The Scene aims to match you with options that actually fit your preferences and have reservations available + create a more consistent, long term demand for the “hidden gem” spots.

For a little background on me (the founder) : I grew up between India, Singapore, London & Dubai with a passion for curating personalized experiences. When I came to NYC at the age of 17, I decided to channel this passion and became a personal concierge to hundreds of people. Sometimes this would take me hours per request and I noticed a gap in the market for a platform that matched people with the exact “vibe” they were looking for + guaranteeing reservations at those very spots, per their preferred time slot - hence - the idea for The Scene was planted. Now, years of knowledge from solving the customer pain points + the database of my brain has been translated into the web app that is The Scene.
