The Gathering Place

My business model is to buy a  property (either land and build our own building or an existing building) and turn it into a place where children, youth, and families can meet together and educate their children. 

Each day of the week I would rent out the facility to a different homeschool group, which would pay a yearly fee to use the property. 

In addition, I am going to market to other businesses so they can use our building when we are not using it. (Afternoons, weekends, and evenings). 

We plan to build a dance studio on the property to help offset our mortgage costs. We also plan to use the building for let’s play music classes, simply music, individual music education, art classes, finance classes, science classes, cooking classes, theater classes, youth orchestra and band, yoga and meditation classes, summer programs, and much much more. If space permits, we would build small offices for professionals to rent out along one side of our building to increase our revenue. 

Many non profit things will occur here as well including parent and mom book discussion groups, book clubs for youth and children, team building activities, plays, and youth dances. Down the road,  I’m hoping to create more buildings like this in other areas that need one so that I can help the community find places to gather.  

I already have several businesses (including a ballroom studio and a small engineering firm) that would like to use our building as well as 3-4 large homeschool groups once we are able to build or purchase one. There is a large demand for these classes and opportunities here in south salt lake area and I hope to get the funding soon to begin to make this dream a reality.
