As a child I walked three miles to school daily passing an abandoned building known as The Blue Marlin. The building was a famous restaurant and entertainment lounge in the Bahamas back in the 60’s where celebrities frequented to perform. I vision reinventing the atmosphere and food utilizing my 81 year old grandmothers memory to which is still fresh as if it were yesterday.
Both sets of my grandparents (mother and fathers parents) met at The Blue Marlin
My grandfather was a celebrity drummer in the 60’s performing at The Blue Marlin and my grandmother a waitress
Most of my aunts and uncles were named after the famous people my grandmother served at The Blue Marlin
The owners of The Blue Marlin housed my grandmother while pregnant with my mother
