I would like to start an app which focuses on group travel for cruises. Ive already spoken to multiple developers about my app, our research shows there isn't another app like this on the market. Group sales comes with many perks like, onboard credits, complimentary specialty dining, drink vouchers, special group only rates, and much much more. Group fares can be the lowest fairs available. Most of the cruise lines i work with require as little as 5 berths to qualify for group rates. There are two types of groups when it comes to group travel, affinity groups, where the group knows one another, and speculative groups. i would be doing speculative groups. the app would show the user destinations, ports of sailing, and date. Once the user has chosen which cruise they are interested in, it would match you with other people who are looking at the same cruise. a group would consist of 10 to 16 people or 5 to 8 berths. once a group is full and ready to book we would set everything up for them. some of my cruise lines do not require deposits for group travel and they offer flexible payment options. ive also considered using Uplift to offer to clients who would like financing options.
