My software program, Spero, (meaning 'I hope' in Latin), drops a college-level understanding of 3D graphic design down to a grade school level and allows anyone, of any age, the ability to create 3D  models with the simplicity of playing connect-the-dots and the controls of a video game.

Spero, formerly 'Art Through Programming', began as a program to help myself make video games because I was unable to grasp the controls of Maya or Blender; two of the biggest free 3D graphics design programs, both of which have college courses based around them. The current version of Spero is a fully functional 3D model design program that saves user creations in several formats, allowing for 3D printing and video game model design to be used in future animation/game modes, or in another program via the model's C# script. By giving the power of game creation back to the general public, I believe this could wash away the stagnation of the video game industry that keeps remaking the same games as 'Remastered', 'Remixed', or 'Re-visioned' and charging their players the same price, year after year.

I'm seeking investors in an effort to continue Spero and disrupt the 3D print and video game world. What I'm offering is an all-in-one program that allows the user the ability to create, edit, and animate their models with ease, then directly incorporate them into various game styles to play and share. I am currently developing the 3D platformer mode for Spero, the first game mode going in, as well as the mobile versions. There is proven success of the player customization/sharing model in the video game market with games like Nintendo's Mario Maker franchise, though those are strictly a 2D platformer game style that offer no custom creations and limited assets.

Spero is a free program with no conventional ads, and the Design-Only version currently available was released in an effort to help the world with CoVID-19 by allowing easy 3D printing of PPE/parts and to create new opportunities for work-at-home jobs based around 3D printing or model design. In future versions, the user will have access to Builder Packs and Advertiser Packs. The Builder Pack will allow any user up to 3 creations and 1 level design to upload for public access from within the program for free. The builder packs will NOT allow brand advertising, as a person nor company. The Advertiser Packs will allow companies or individuals to advertise their brand and image by allowing players to use those assets in their game designs.  This principle is based on the same concept as advertising within television programs. The only requirement from the advertiser is the .stl model and an image file of what they wish to advertise.

Business Model:
Taking a standard advertising budget into consideration, start at $1000 per month for the first advertiser and subtract 1% per subsequent advertiser there-after.

This lowers the total cost for each advertisers' "pack", incentivizing parent companies to buy multiple slots, while enticing new companies to join as popularity grows on a global scale. Pack sorting would be based on company type, but then on a first-come or premium slotting basis.

The numbers:
1 advertiser = $1000/mo = $1000 monthly revenue
13 advertisers = $894.90/mo each = $11,627.20 monthly revenue
...
71 advertisers = $499.31/mo each = $35,451.01 monthly revenue

I believe this business model helps build trust and exponential growth by being free while helping companies pay less as they help the program grow by advertising.

About me:
My name is Scott R. Sheffield II and I taught myself C when I was just 14 after becoming addicted to online text-based games known as MUDs (Multi-User Dungeons). Over the next couple years, I practiced my craft, learning C++ in the process, and became the Head Coder and co-creator of many MUDs, some of which, like Dark Skies, still exist today. After I was discharged from the US Navy in 2010, I found myself wanting to get back into programming games, and only having GameMaker, I learned javascript and made a few, small, non-published games until 2015 when Unity went free. It was in that year that I began to work on a new concept for video games, one that incorporated several styles into one; this was Salvation of Echo, and in September of 2015, for that game, I created my first model, a lotus flower, in what became the concept of Spero.

From the intial design of printing out vector coordinates for vertices pulls to create run-time game models in pure C# script, I slowly developed the framework of Spero to include more advanced 3D model design functions over the years such as model scale/rotation editing, texture painting in a 3D space, and sound map terrains. I've created several programs and half-made games, learning as I went along, while simultaneously developing Spero. Most recently, I tried to help with a CoVID-19 app for government officials that would allow listing/de-listing of resources with a 5 minute update time and no app update required, but couldn't receive an official backing as required by Google and Apple to publish it. I'm just one programmer trying to help the world by making better software and could use a business partner. If you're an interested investor and/or seeking a partnership, please message me on here or contact me directly via email at   [email protected]
