We are a speech synthesis AI company. We provide a voice of your choice for companies or a voice to those who cannot speak.
Here’s an executive summary of Speechmorphing’s status and prospects. Overall, while the status is frankly challenging in the very near term, the prospects remain exciting. We believe that your investment will be well placed – as confirmed by recent traction in four main areas.
• We've just delivered voice-to-voice translations from English to Spanish of 32 instructional videos for distributor Switch, Inc. – our first substantial speech translation contract.
Here’s an introduction to the translation process. We'll receive a revenue share as they sell the translated educational documentaries throughout Central and South America; and that income stream has begun to flow. It’s been challenging to synchronize the synthetic segments with video scenes, but we've succeeded in almost entirely automating the process, so that similar projects can now be undertaken at scale – a patent-pending capability already beyond the reach of competitors. The related sales campaign has now begun. Our plan is to further refine the related workflow software and editing tools to enable multiple speakers and unprecedented, patent-protected degrees of expressive tuning. These will be refined for in-house production; but, once they're perfected, they'll be licensed to users large and small. Extensions of this video translation technology to audio-only projects like audiobooks and podcasts are in the sales phase.
• For America’s largest retailer, we've contributed the voice for a stunning avatar bringing its founder back to life for interactive virtual pep-talks – a contribution that no competitor could match. $60K is due for this work. And now, for an additional $20K, we're also restoring the founder’s damaged voice in an inspirational video – not with filtering or other repairs, but with seamless voice synthesis. (Of course, we're extremely sensitive to ethical, legal, and labor issues related to such voice cloning, and are establishing appropriate policies and technology. Consider also the humanitarian use case just below.) We invite you to see the results … and a comparable recreation of a virtual John F. Kennedy speaking
Massachusetts English and
“gringo” Spanish.
• We've produced a ground-breaking Augmentative and Alternative Communication iPhone app enabling people who have lost their voices to recover them: their typed texts are synthesized in the original voice. Don't miss the unsolicited thrilled
reaction of first client Sonya – in her own words and her own restored voice! In response to demand from a national organization supporting such clients, we're now developing related hardware and software extensions.
• We're participating in a funding proposal that would support the enhancement of our existing
Talkmondo software for multi-language online conversations, enabling use in Zoom-class meetings. The proposal consortium includes twenty respected European companies, including veteran translation giant Systran.
