Hi,

My name is Chris Gebhart and I own Southern Star Equipment Co.   We are a local enclosed and equipment trailer dealer that opened this year in Port Allen, LA.   Our team is comprised of myself, the owner, and one other commission based salesperson.  My day to day duties include but are not limited to; Sales & Marketing, QC, Customer Service, and Bookkeeping.

Currently we offer enclosed trailers throughout Central Louisiana and are wanting to expand our product line into other trailers such as; Utility, Car Hauler, Equipment, Dump, Gooseneck, and Step Deck Trailers.  We have negotiated a dealer agreement with a large manufacturer but because we are a new business, we are unable to secure traditional funding to add their inventory to my lot.  

We are seeking private funding to help expand into a greater product offering, thus increasing our sales and profitability.

Our location is unique in that we are on a highway with >25,000 CPD traffic, and no other trailer dealers close by.  Our enclosed trailer sales are increasing and we are getting more requests for car haulers, equipment, dump, and gooseneck trailers.  We believe that if we have this inventory on hand/available, we could further increase our sales figures.

With our location, and the strong reputation for quality and great customer service, we feel that we can solidify our place as a premier trailer dealer in Central Louisiana.  

At this time, we are on track to reach over $50,000 in revenue for the month of August.  Our revenue goal is to achieve an average over $75,000/month before then end of our first fiscal year.

To achieve this growth, we are requesting $150,000 loan to obtain more inventory and increase our online marketing. With the additional capital, my dealership will have a greater presence in Central Louisiana and we will draw in a broader customer base, being able to sell farther, thus increasing our revenue goals beyond our current projections.
