Rose and I bring over 50 years of Bar and Restaurant experience to Soul Bites. I served as General Manager of BLT Steak, on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles and have worked with Iron Chef Michael Voltaggio at Ink, the Roxbury, Spago, and Eureka, alongside Chef Wolfgang Puck, just to name a few.. Rose worked VIP relations for Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks and was an integral team member of the Shelly Fireman Group of properties in New York. She most recently served as the General Manager of the Hollywood-based Gourmet Burger concept from BLT Steak, Go Burger.
We opened our quick-casual Soul Food restaurant in February of this year in the iconic space at 423 State Street in downtown Santa Barbara. Our restaurant continues to build a strong clientele of devoted followers. This June, we signed a multi-year lease for the entire 4500 sq. ft. space, giving us the opportunity to add Live Music and an inspired Beer and Wine program to our Chef-driven restaurant experience.
This space, formerly known as Velvet Jone and most recently Music Alley, has a long history as one of the pre-eminent mid-size music halls of Southern California. Over the past 20 years, Velvet Jones has showcased acts as diverse as the Foo Fighters and Kendrick Lamar, as well as numerous others. We intend to continue that tradition, and will partner with top promoters and music buyers across Southern California, Like Javier Castillo of WMMTS. Music Buyer for Lance Sterling, Owner/Operator of The Saban Theatre in Los Angeles, The Canyon in Agoura Hills, and a host of other large to mid-size venues.
We will also add new revenue streams as we open our venue to the public from 7 am-10 am for Yoga and Dance classes, taught by World Class, certified instructors. And then transform the space into an espresso/juice bar/workspace, featuring light fare from our in-residence kitchen and free wifi. The menu will expand into lunch and dinner and then wind down to small bites for the late evening and live shows. The weekend will feature our Jazz/Gospel and Blues brunch, While the bar will feature local vineyards and breweries from the Central and Southern Coast.
Soul Bites is poised to become an anchor of the arts/entertainment/hospitality community of Santa Barbara, as well as a go-to destination for out-of-towners and tourists alike. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you and further discussing this lucrative yet rare business opportunity.
Sincerely,
Stirling Nix Bradley
