Petals of Color is a family owned and operated certified florist in Zebulon, North Carolina. Myself, Nicole, and my sister, Tanisha, started our company in March 2021, with one goal, provide affordable and stunning flower arrangements for our community. We have been operating with our personal financial backing, and have been turned down by all traditional business loan request. However, we keep going and continue to build our business dream. We believe in Petals of Color and the service we offer to our community. We offer flower services for funerals, events, weddings, 'just because' and a flower subscription. Our flower subscription allows us to provide flowers to our customers on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. We take pride in our customer service and create every flower arrangement for each client request. Additionally, we take our 'extra flowers' to local community organization to provide them with the joy fresh flowers bring. For example, our flower donations have included nursing homes, memory centers and behavioral programs for children.
We are seeking operation capital to grow our business. As a family owned business we operate in our family home. Specifically at owner, Tanisha's home and at our mother/employee, Renee, home. We are a black women owned business and our two employee's are, as stated earlier, Renee, and our sister-in-law Ashley.
Continuing to fund Petals of Color from our personal budget and the income of the business is not allowing the full potential of Petals of Color to shine. With your financial assistance we would be allowed to expand our at home flower studio into a more work friendly and weather accommodating environment, get a delivery vehicle/trailer, and get much needed supplies to operate from floral coolers, to foam, to flower display items. In addition, your funding would allow us to maintain our payroll, pay off the credit card debt we have incurred from using our financial resources to operate, flower care continued education, marketing, and so much more.

According to market statistics the flower industry is expected to see a minimum of six percent growth in the coming years. In fact, Digital Journal reported, on August 24, 2022, "Cut Flowers Market Size was estimated at USD 18420 million in 2021 and is projected to reach USD 27510 million by 2028, exhibiting a CAGR of 6.91% during the forecast period." Lastly, the number of wedding are on a rise as we continue to move to a new normal post COVID-19. Petals of Color wants to be in this expanding market and you can help us get there.
