The project involves establishing a comprehensive Pathology Lab that provides services to hospitals, aiming to bridge the gap in local capabilities. We specialize in certain pathology tests that are not available in the UAE, and samples have to be sent to the US or Europe for evaluation, resulting in an average turnaround time of 15 to 60 days. Our goal is to deliver results within 5 days in most cases. National Reference Lab is the largest competitor and they prefer to send cases to Cleveland Clinic for review.
The lab will be implemented in three phases:
Phase 1: Renal Pathology Services - This phase includes digital consultation pathology with a panel of American Board-Certified Pathologists. All Renal Pathology cases in the UAE will be processed and reviewed at Mayo and Cleveland Clinic.
Phase 2: Leukemia & Lymphoma Services - This phase will cover all pathological testing required for the diagnosis and management of patients with blood cancer. Currently, SCMC and Cleveland Clinic are the region's largest leukemia lymphoma centers, but they only offer basic diagnostic services and lack genetic and chromosome testing.
Phase 3: Genetic Oncology Testing - This phase will encompass all genetic testing needed for various types of cancers, including breast, lung, intestinal, leukemia, and lymphoma, etc. It is the most challenging phase and will take approximately one to 2 years to fully implement.
The complete execution of the three phases will require a total timeframe of 1 to 2 years.
I am seeking an investment of 2.5 to 3 million USD in exchange for a 20 to 25% convertible note. The allocated funds will be disbursed across different phases, so there is No need for upfront payment of the full amount. However, I am requesting a term sheet for the entire investment so that I can focus solely on building the enterprise.
