Mella Salon Equipment

The "Apple" of salon equipment created by an esthetician that has a unique understanding of what the industry needs. Having already gone through the huge initial expenses with our first product Mella 1.0 we are ready to take all of that ground work and do some serious marketing campaigning along with complimentary products already in the works.

What do I mean by "all the initial expenses"?
Mella 1.0 has been through design, engineering, injection mold/tooling costs, Intertek ETL safety certification, FCC ID, branding, packaging, website buildout, fulfillment center established, import bonds active etc.  We have already done all of the hard stuff! 

What is the product?
Mella is a piece of equipment that is a staple in any salon environment.  With so much focus on what can we sell the client, what has been forgotten is the core of what drives a customer to spend which is how they feel in the space. The environment in which the client receives a service is typically filled with outdated, unsightly equipment that affects the clients desire to buy products or even come back for more services. The more cutting edge and beautiful the environment is, as shown here, the more the client wants to spend and return. The worst offender that has and continues to reduce the client's desire to spend money is the wax pot. That's where I'm starting....and I stress starting.  As with many high end salons, professional photos do not show warmers because it detracts from the environment. The salons have no other choice when it comes to choosing warmers.  Mella Professional Warmers is changing that. The initial launch of our warmers has proven the concept is not theory, its fact. The industry is ready and starving for something new in this space. Mella Warmers are now the focus of social media posts. 

What problem does it solve?
Mella doesn't solve ONE problem it solves FOUR.  Four distinctions that set Mella apart from all others: 

1. Aesthetically Pleasing Shape and Color Choices - Mella doesn't look like clunky equipment on client facing counters, it looks like decor. With complimentary colors to enhance the look and feel of the treatment room.
2. Patented Non Stick Silicone Skin - There has never been an easier way to clean wax drippings off of the warmer.  With silicone being nonstick, anything that drips is easy to clean keeping the space looking clean and sanitary. There isn't a single warmer on the market where you can remove the entire outside of it, soak it in hospital grade cleaning agents and put it back on.  Mella is the first of its kind.
3. Affectively warms both Sugar and Traditional Wax - Traditional Wax and Sugar Wax require very different temperature settings.  There isn't a warmer that has the full range and is stable.  Mella has the full range of temperatures, perfectly suited for all types of sugar and all types of wax.
4. Mobile App for complete control - Sugar takes up to an hour to heat through and Wax takes about 30 minutes. That's a lot of time to waste having to go in early just to turn on your warmer.  Same on the flip side when you get home and wonder if you turned it off or not.  With Mella, you can connect multiple devices to the mobile app and turn them on and off.  You can even set them to a schedule for automated convenience.

What will the funds be used for?
So far Mella has not had a marketing budget.  The majority will go to this along with updated videography and photography.  We also need to fund another production run of Mella 2.0 and Mella 7.0 already in the works. Mella 1.0 is a small capacity warmer already on the market and selling well considering there hasn't been any marketing.  Mella 2.0 is the same warmer with 5G compatibility mobile App.  Mella 7.0 is a much anticipated large capacity warmer in the industry.  Since launching 1 year ago we have had a steady stream of requests that sound like this "I love it so much please tell me you're making a larger version".  This doesn't have anything to do with the size of the salon, it has to do with what kind of work is done in the salon.  If an esthetician is doing full body waxing all day, they are going through a lot of wax per day and need a lot warmed all at once.  Mella 7.0 fills this market need.  Mella 7.0 is in the design engineering and prototype phase and moving ahead. All of the growing pains and successes that go along with Mella 1.0 translate to Mella 2.0 and Mella 7.0.  We have other ideas of course, but best to stay focused and perfect one thing at a time.
