LONE STAR NIL, LLC
Based in the burgeoning sports capital of Frisco, Texas, LONE STAR NIL, LLC, is a new, exclusive collegiate name, image and likeness opportunity for Texas-based athletes enrolled at in-state universities and colleges. Our original concept is the first statewide NIL program for college athletes that works to keep homegrown talent in Texas by connecting high-achieving students with current and future professional opportunities in the robust statewide business economy.
Without a competitive affiliation to a single college athletics program (like most other NIL operatives), LONE STAR NIL is independently focused on the academic and athletic success of Texans attending and competing at any of the 116 universities and colleges across the state. Further, instead of soliciting donations from individual athletics boosters and supporters, LONE STAR NIL works directly with statewide corporate brands and regional/local businesses.
With the recent opportunity for enrolled student-athletes to provide commercial endorsements and be paid cash for such, statewide businesses can better connect to the passion and excitement of Texas college sports. Much like professional athletes before them, those in college can also provide significant economic benefits for in-state companies through their personal brands and ever-expanding social media influence.
By keeping academic and athletic talent close to home, LONE STAR NIL ultimately wants to lead student-athletes to future Texas workforce placement and success after their playing careers have concluded. To that end, LONE STAR NIL is focused on advancing professional development opportunities, community service and charitable activities during their scholastic experience, elements in addition to beneficial NIL financial activity.

Our Focuses:
1. Developing Future Texas Workforce Leadership by Connecting to High-Achieving Student-Athletes.
2. Assisting Texas Universities and Colleges with in-state Enrollment, Retention and Graduation.
3. Driving Texas Business Growth through our Innovative NIL Concept.

The NIL Marketplace:
- Opendorse.com projects a nationwide NIL spend of $1.7 billion in 2023-24.
- On3.com expects NIL industry growth of $3-5 billion in the next five years.
- Over 30 NCAA student-athletes have current NIL valuations of over $1 million each, per On3.com
The Challenges in NIL:
1. Despite two-plus years of nationwide NIL activity, most Texan college athletes have not gained NIL opportunities.
2. Many Texans remain uniformed about name, image and likeness policies and benefits.
3. The robust Texas business community can be much better engaged in this valuable space.
4. The NIL opportunities that are occurring in Texas are mainly limited to larger "Power" schools, but not at the majority of in-state institutions.
5. An overwhelming amount of current NIL spending is centered on male student-athletes, causing a significant disparity for females.
Our NIL Solutions:
- We PROVIDE an exclusive platform for Texan college athletes at in-state schools to explore beneficial NIL opportunities.
- We CONNECT high-achieving male and female college athletes/influencers with statewide businesses, charities and communities.
- We ASSIST over 100 Texas universities and colleges with homegrown enrollment, retention and graduation.
- We GROW important professional development, valued community service and selfless charitable activity for students and companies.

How LONE STAR NIL Works:
LONE STAR NIL's Business Development team identifies statewide, regional and local business opportunities in concert with our Student-Athlete Engagement team that seeks and interacts with college athletes interested in name, image and likeness activity. The matchmaking of corporate opportunities with accomplished college students continues through the development of agreeable NIL deals. Once NIL activity begins, obligations are set and verified, leading to the agreed-upon payments to student-athletes. As transactional activity continues, LONE STAR NIL works to find the professional development, community service and charitable opportunities beneficial to all.
Revenue Modeling:
LONE STAR NIL has developed primary revenue streams, including multi-year corporate memberships/partnerships with "category exclusivity," as well as À la carte regional/hometown NIL deals. Other revenue opportunities are planned with sponsorship/advertising through LONE STAR NIL's technology provider, website and social media, individual "crowdsourcing" type giving, and sponsor-driven specialty programming such as educational meetings and instructional webinars.
