Susan Clawson, Author - Producer for new episodic dystopian-drama-based TV series. Dave Danielson, President, Life in Pictures,.
'better lands' is based on a 5-book dystopian series (books 1-3 are published)
The first season (about 7 episodes) is based on the first book "better lands - THE DISCOVERIES". Subsequent seasons will reveal the ongoing story.
This dystopian-drama series centers around realistic apocalyptic survivors in 2024. The world lost over 2/3 of its breathing population to a pandemic and the ever-changing climate. The world has essentially fallen to its knees but the story is not about its weaknesses, but rather about the strengths of human struggles trying to maintain relationships through the course of survival. 4 teams of 100 Vermont folks, led by 16-year-old Rosa Wells, go on a tempestuous foot journey to an inland peninsula in Kentucky that professes to be virus-free. Friendships, romance, controversies, violence, and death become staples in the new world. Season 1 takes travelers from Vermont through Fort Drum, NY.
