KyotoGO is hibachi your way; inspired by traditional Japanese cooking methods using fresh, all natural ingredients to create fans of the brand, one bowl at a time.
The Founder
In 2018 Andrew King relocated from the Upper West Side of Manhattan and left his position as Director of Operations at Momofuku (Fuku) to be the owner/operator of Genjigo in Columbus Ohio. Beginning with 6 locations he renovated both the look and the operating platforms of the fast casual hibachi bowl concept and eventually expanded the brand to eight (8) locations. Through his experience in Columbus he recognized a need for a quick casual hibachi concept in New York City. Over the past twenty five (25) years he has built brands and developed concepts for a wide array of exceptional hospitality companies including Momofuku (FUKU), Genjigo, Hill Country Hospitality, Num Pang, Applemetro, and Hillstone (Houston’s) Restaurant Group. He has been responsible for overseeing the opening of twenty three (23) restaurants in New York, and Boston. Through developing new concepts and service models for Hill Country Hospitality, Momofuku and Applemetro his expertise and knowledge has been field tested and verified. His experience ranges from kitchens as small as seven hundred (700) square feet to operating restaurants that exceed twenty million dollars ($20,000,000.00) annually in sales in Times Square. From the birth of new concepts to the refinement of developed companies he has an extensive background in building not only financially successful businesses but also managing world-class brands.
