Intuitive Wellness of Crofton

Intuitive Wellness is a woman-owned and operated full-service wellness center focused on helping individuals maximize their health and reduce reliance on medication and surgery. We provide comprehensive services including, therapeutic massage, Reiki, reflexology, wellness/nutrition coaching, therapeutic skincare, acupuncture, and mental health counseling. 

 

I have owned Intuitive since November 2017. I started this business entirely on my own with no outside investment. At the time, I had almost no money to invest of my own, what I gave was my 25 years of experience. The only outside funding I had at that time was one business credit card with a $2k limit...I used it and it served me well!

 

Since that time, when I started with one room in the back of a hair salon, I have had many wonderful moments and many setbacks. I was able to grow and hire a few therapists. Then the pandemic hit and I thought I would lose everything. Amazingly, after the shutdown in 2020, the business saw growth and I made the risky decision to move from the one room in the hair salon to my current location. I now have my own space for the business. It has a beautiful waiting room, on on-site break room with on-site laundry, and four treatment rooms.  However, the pandemic set me back and staffing growth, loss, and growth again have cost me. 

 

Today, I need an influx of money to reverse a few errors and to move things forward. To begin with, through the pandemic and the move, I borrowed. I feel stuck with the debt. It isn't huge, but it's close to $20k. I also have realized that without being able to move my team from 1099 contractors to W-2 employees, I cannot recruit the talent that I need to truly grow my business. Finally, if those situations can be resolved, it would provide the opportunity to look at growing into a second location where we can expand into additional services in wellness, to include group therapy, wellness classes, senior exercise classes, and occupational therapy. 

 

I have never tried to raise capital in this way before. I am reaching out now because I really need the help and I'm not afraid to ask for it. I've worked for 25 years to make this business happen and I do not want to see it end. Any help you could provide me to make this business whole and move it forward would be tremendously appreciated.
