Independence Driving School & CDL Center LLC

Independence Driving School began as a part-time job 22 years ago and has grown to over $500,000 in sales this year.  In the last 12 months we have changed our name to Independence Driving School & CDL Center LLC,  leased office and classroom space and sufficient property, completed applications to become a PennDot certified 3rd party testing facility for cars and commercial vehicles,  purchased a truck and trailer and leased 2 additional trucks and a trailer, contracted with a vo-tech school to provide Commercial Drivers License training, leased a state-of-art driving simulator, hired a CDL instructor and started building a referral network.  The monthly overhead for the CDL instruction is approximately $25,000. Tuition for the CDL course is $5,500 with a short-term projection of 20 students per month.  The third-party testing will provide an additional substantial income stream with no further investment other than salaries. The School is seeking $175,000 to $200,000 to purchase the two trucks and trailer that it currently leases and provide a cash reserve for the winter months.
