Welcome to the future of an engine operating system. On July 24th I sent a patent application for intermittent engine operation (Variable Engine Control). Engines use a computing system and electromagnetic solenoids that open and close valves now. A computing system algorithm controls operation of solenoids. Open exhaust valves (limited back pressure) deactivate fuel injectors. When an engine freely spins it doesn't use fuel except to occasionally make a power pulse using one cylinder to raise the rpm above a minimum engineered range. It could stretch fuel. Actual mpg is about to be proven in scientific lab research and real application. Helping $ could get a computing system algorithm written plus do the research using scientific testing. This patent pending invention could help control carbon dioxide pollution and decrease global warming because engines use less fuel.
