Music venue, restaurant, bar

Raising money to purchase property to open a restaurant, bar & music venue. Little to no competition in the area. Right off I65.

Hello, and thank you for your time. My name is Jon Lawhon. Stepping away from a 20 year touring career, as the bassist for international rock band Black Stone Cherry, I’ve decided to utilize my decades of experience in entertainment to bring a next level live music experience to South Central Kentucky. My partners, Josh (master mixologist) and Cory (resident culinary expert) and I plan to transform an otherwise small town into another world.

Based in Cave City, home of Mammoth Cave National Park with more than 2 million annual tourists, my partners and I have the expertise and ability to grow our community exponentially utilizing the venue as the vehicle to boost the local experience. Located minutes from I65 and Mammoth Cave Park, with an overall capacity of nearly one thousand patrons we have the potential to turn serious numbers, offer well paid jobs for 30 plus employees as well as increase the annual tourist numbers.

Our goal is to provide a high end dining experience at a fair price. Beautifully crafted drinks specifically for each of the three bar areas. We would offer special seasonal events, weddings and receptions, national act concerts and more. There isn’t a venue of this size or caliber within a hundred miles and would provide a much needed foothold for artists of all calibers and genres.

Utilizing local merchandise manufacturing, food vendors, etc is just a potion of the vision we share to assist in the overall growth of Cave City and Barren/Warren counties.

The prospect property is formerly the first church constructed in our community located right in the middle of Main Street. All together it offers over 5000 sq ft of interior space with the potential for a large outdoor dining and beer garden area. Currently, Main Street has 2 small bars with less than 75 capacities that stay busy year round. It’s location on main street and our relationship with major booking agencies, local government and law enforcement allows us the unique position of potentially offering outdoor street festivals in the warmer months as well.

In closing, we appreciate your time and consideration in assisting us to achieve our long time collective dreams. The research and possibilities alone have us excited and eager to get started on building a brighter future for South Central Kentucky and the surrounding areas. Additional information available upon request.

Sincerely,
Jon Lawhon
