Guided Security is a startup founded by security professionals with over 40 years of combined experience, offering a SaaS product (SecurityDesk) and consulting services.

 Our flagship offering is SecurityDesk, a SaaS security portal for small & medium organisations that leverages the efficiency of AI (via OpenAI technologies) and the deep technical knowledge of our team to provide quick and efficient answers to security questions, policy & document management, incident management, and other features. Customers complete a dynamic checklist (Security Scorecard) of existing controls, policies, current & desired compliance schemes & certifications, with advice given to address detectable deficiencies. This dynamic checklist provides an opportunity to assist customers in creating new policies, implementing new controls (such as deploying security software or completing audits), and guides their security efforts to be more complete and mature.

Its goal is to better organise and centralise security operations & information, giving employees easy access to the information and resources that they need.

SecurityDesk is marketed with two pricing models, per employee or per user, with the primary (and lower cost per seat) model being per employee, as it's intended to be used by all employees of an organisation. Pricing is designed to include both the cost of the SaaS product itself, plus a block of time from members of our team to review AI drafted answers, or providing custom guidance. While a SecurityDesk customer need not turn to Guided Security for our consulting services (see more below), it does provide a gateway to offering these additional services, providing an easy experience and great opportunity to leverage exiting relationships for additional sales opportunities.

The future of SecurityDesk
This platform has substantial opportunity to expand, increasing engagement and capturing more of the security spend of customers. Some of these include:

- Integration with Slack and Teams, to meet users where they already are.
 - Integrated security training classes & reporting.
 - Expansion of Security Scorecard to provide more detailed guidance and assistance for common security compliance schemes, such as PCI, ISO 27001, SOC2, etc, along with specialised reports that can be provided to auditors to assist in the audit and certification process.
 - Partnerships to resell selected security products and services, leveraging our existing relationships to ease the sales process.
 - Integrations with selected security products to provide a more unified central resource for security within an organisation.
 - Automated data and evidence collection to support common security compliance schemes.

Consulting Services
As an additional line of business, Guided Security offers security consulting services, with our headline service being "Your Security Team" - a managed security-team-as-a-service offering, providing small businesses with resources they wouldn't be able to afford otherwise. This services leverages SecurityDesk as its primary interface to customer employees, and provides a richer set of services and blocks of time from security professionals.

In addition, services such as digital forensics, incident response, penetration testing, and customised security training are offered. These services build on the relationship established with SecurityDesk customers to expand revenue, as well as build revenue from those that aren't SecurityDesk customers.

Guided Security is a new company, and while we've built the core SecurityDesk software, we need to invest further in development to expand and refine its features. The funds we are seeking now will be used to cover business expenses, invest more in sales, and importantly, invest in additional development of SecurityDesk.
