The idea for this ministry business came to mind back in Florida in 2015. My husband and I had been full time RVing and were awe struck by the beauty of our home, America. Being from the Detroit area in Michigan and spending my summers in the country of northern Michigan, was always God's country to me. The clean air and swimming in the lakes and rivers were a treat for this city girl. The lyrics to the song "America the Beautiful" came into play with the visions of the scenic land we live. The Amber waves of grain describe the bread products on the menu, Purple mountain majesty are the Lavender Creations and Above the fruited plain would be the fruit products available. The name God's Country Cafe featuring Lavender Creations just made sense. Living near the Fort Huachuca Army base town was the reasoning behind the truck itself. A 1989 Army truck will be converted into a mobile kitchen and a trailer will accommodate the generator and grill for outdoor chuck wagon style cooking. Going for the WOW factor was important since the food truck industry is becoming more popular. Having Christian tee shirts and Bibles available for customers is also a way to minister to others. Free will donations will accepted for payment for all goods. The menu will have a $5.00 breakfast choice and a $10.00 lunch choice. A simple act of kindness to pay it forward means so much and showing generosity goes a long way. Funding so far has been minimal since my husband needs me on a 24/7 basis. Battling Pancreatic Cancer for over 4 years now has been a rollercoaster. I have decided to put this project on hold for now but have purchased some equipment when able. Education about this cancer will be available as well. I have my non profit/tax exemption status as LFJ, Inc DBA God's Country Cafe featuring Lavender Creations. The business name is registered with the county of Cochise in Arizona. The total funding would cover the truck purchase of $20,000.00 and an additional $30,000.00 would cover more equipment and supplies. I look for deals and emphasis the menu as good old American food! I have been in the food service for over 30 years and have had a Tea Room in Temperance, Michigan so am knowledgeable about running a business. I did learn how to do food service on a budget without loosing quality. Purchasing the truck would really be a load off and the rest will fall into place. It hasn't even been 6 months since my EIN was issued. Thank you in advance for considering investing with us. I have a business plan available upon request.
