I have a "not for profit" company, looking for funds to get started and if needed, to hire 1 person to assist.

To rehab:  I'm looking to develop or obtain housing for the homeless and low-income families in the Tampa Bay area which has the highest number of homeless people in the state. I have my eye on an abandoned hotel and tried to contact the owner with no response.  The property taxes were being paid but nothing was being done to the hotel and it would be perfect to start my project.  500k would likely not be enough to redo the whole hotel, but I could get have done until I acquire enough funds to complete the task.  The hotel is fenced off but I estimate 32 rooms and an office.

To build:  I've been looking at buying some land to build a row of tiny homes.  Considering a small house would be perfect for single people.  Depending on my budget I would likely go a bit bigger for a small family.  I've also considered shipping containers.  That would be great for a small family needing more room than tiny houses.  I've also checked out modular buildings that would be cheaper than brick-and-mortar buildings.   I would consider this with plans for a large building where I could rent out each room.

Though most of the homeless are in Tampa, that would be a good location to find a building to remodel.  Lakeland, about 45 miles away, would be good for finding land.

I have checked out several possibilities so wherever my budget takes me, that is where I will start going state-wide.
