5. Unique method: FTS products are handmade with low-tech production, minimal design, and use up-cycled materials to create a longevity life span product.
The market:
Trend: Wood is a timeless material that can be described as warm, natural, and organic. It is often incorporated as a way to add texture and bring a sense of earthiness to a space. When describing wood in a design context, you can highlight its unique grain patterns, its ability to add contrast to modern and minimalistic designs, and its association with sustainability and eco-friendliness.
Digital World: As the world goes more digital, the market will continue craving to live with natural materials, such as real wood.
Climate Change: with global warming, the consumer is more aware of the sustainable responsibility.
Material: From the Source use most plantation wood from young tree. Plantations is a highly sustainable material, being entirely created by the energy of the sun. Moreover a tree continually binds carbon dioxide during its growth. For the entire lifespan of the furniture piece, it remains bound and even serves as a carbon dioxide reservoir after the elapse of time of growth renewal.
We also work on upcycling materials, such as teak, oil barrels, and rubber tires, helps to reduce waste in landfills and promotes sustainable practices.
Handcrafted: Unlike mass production, our high quality of workmanship, robust characteristics of the materials, together with the form-follows-function philosophy behind our timeless design derive from the intention to produce items that last for decades.
Brick and Mortar: FTS will stay as a local New York boutique brand,
Progress/Proof:
Stable supply chain: FTS sources most wood material from the local village farmers. Plantation teak tree mature in about 25 years. After the tree gets harvested, the farmer will replant a baby tree at the same location. The farmers own the same amount of trees in their land for generations.
Established customer: FTS has a database filled with over 10,000 contacts on our mailing list and 20,000 serviced customers.
Reliable Staff: Most of our staff in New York and Indonesia have been with the company for almost 10 years or more.
Strong Communications: We have built a culture of transparent communication through multiple locations in different time zones, connecting our factory in Indonesia, our warehouse in Queens, New York, and our showroom in Manhattan.
Future Objectives:
