Dandelion Sky

This company is in the beginning stages of creating a series of comics and novels that deals with inner discord that affects the outside world around us. We aim to self-publish and print our products to be put in bookstores across the country, and available for shipping worldwide. Currently, there are five team members: myself (Alex Hansen, founder, CEO, author of the novels and creative director of the comics), Lucy (background line artist for the comic), Ayushi/Rei (storyboard artist for the comic), Sara (colorist for the comic), and Nat (character line artist for the comic). All the artists live overseas (The UK and India) and, as of right now, are independent contractors. We have had a lot of ups and downs with access to funds to be able to get art done. I have three jobs and still struggle to make it happen since I also pay rent. 

We are also looking at international publishing, as the works are very diverse and take place abroad most of the time. A long-term goal is to establish ourselves as a publishing company that's doing it like nobody else. The author has complete control every step of the way, we market using an on-staff marketing team that collaborates with the author, we do everything for them still leaving them with the creative freedom and only asking for 5% of the profits in return. No fees, no bullsh*t. We will provide editors to fix grammar and spelling mistakes, but the content of the book/comic/graphic novel is completely up to the creator. This final form of a publishing company/house will have branches worldwide, the first to be established in South Korea as that is where the first comics/novels focus on and also because the CEO, myself, will be residing there starting November/December of this year.  We aren't doing this for money, we're doing this for impact and to make positive changes worldwide as much as we can.
