Introduction
The Cleveland Crunch is a newly developing professional indoor soccer team joining the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) expansion division, M2, for the 2021-2022 season. It is currently represented as an entity under the name Cleveland Crunch, LLC, and is located in Cleveland, Ohio. Previously, the Cleveland Crunch operated in both the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) and the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL - 3x champions), but disbanded prior to the formation of the current MASL. As a new member of the Major Arena Soccer League, the Cleveland Crunch aim to influence the culture and community of a well established sports market and an undoubtedly LOYAL Cleveland fan base.

Overview: What is the Major Arena Soccer League?
The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) represents the highest level of professional arena soccer in the world, featuring teams from across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. It is internally structured as a tiered model containing 3 divisions, MASL, M2 and M3. The M2 serves as a developmental league for the MASL and is designed to provide an outlet for teams to either reorganize for a re-emergence in the MASL or an avenue for teams to compete in smaller markets in hopes of rising to MASL status. The M3, which is a newly launched piece to the tiered model of the league, is designed to be another option for new aspiring professional indoor soccer teams and is geared to be more regionally based. In correspondence with our future development plans, the MASL yearns to create a positive and affordable environment for soccer players of all ages and demographics through the development of youth academies and adult soccer programs. The increasing popularity of soccer in the United States in coherence with the increasing popularity of the Major Arena Soccer League, invites very enticing opportunities to utilize the Cleveland Crunch brand in a variety of ways.

STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION/TIMELINE:
As a newly developing professional sports team, multiple precursor factors such as developing a roster, building a coaching staff, obtaining an arena venue and increasing brand awareness must be considered. With a home training facility partnership in place (Soccer Sportsplex - North Olmsted, Ohio), a handful of players already signed and committed, and interim coaches for the upcoming spring season secured, a comprehensive player roster will be developed through paid tryouts on December 12th and 13th, 2020 at the Soccer Sportsplex. Conversations with prospective arena venues in downtown Cleveland have commenced and pricing estimates are included in our organization's business plan.  As an organization, it is our primary goal to earn and maintain a positive cash flow through acquiring capital assets, building liquidity and increasing revenue annually. Achievement of this goal is made feasible through strategic implementation of business and marketing strategies over a multi-year time frame. Aiming to launch the Cleveland Crunch in the 2021-2022 season allows for approximately one full year to structure internal operations as well as develop an established club image and brand.

In the present day, we the Cleveland Crunch are using an aggressive marketing approach. This is inclusive of a strong social media presence (1,505 Instagram followers as of 12/1), merchandise sales (https://theclevelandcrunch.com/team-store) and various promotional strategies. In the first month of our online team merchandise store being launched, we are within close reach of $1,000 in rebate/profit generated for the business. Additionally, the Cleveland Crunch held its first youth soccer camp in  September, 2020, in which 31 youth players registered and participated, while turning a net profit of $2,500 for the first youth camp. The Crunch have plans to begin holding youth camps at several locations throughout Northeast Ohio as early as January, 2021.

With open paid tryouts in place for mid-December, it is in our fullest intentions to have a complete team roster in order to play exhibition games starting February, 2021. This allows for increased brand exposure for the organization, our product (team roster) and will help maximize revenue within the first year prior to officially joining the MASL M2 division.
