Be Your Own Hero Productions, LLC announces the official release of their Crowd Funding Campaign for its newest feature, You’re It, which will be filmed entirely in the Carolinas.
York SC – June 20th, 2023 – Be Your Own Hero Productions, LLC is is seeking funding for their new feature length horror film, You’re It their new feature length horror film, starring The Walking Dead alumni, Santiago Cirilo and Amber Dawn Fox, and directed by award-winning independent filmmaker, Ronald J. Rossmann Jr. This production will be filmed entirely in the Carolinas with a focus in Hickory, NC at Lake Hickory Haunts (
www.lakehickoryhaunts.com), the leading haunt attraction in the South.
“You’re It” is better defined as a psychological thriller than a simple slice and dice slasher flick. This story possesses deep storytelling and character evolution with relatable dialogue. The production was inspired by Carpenter’s pure approach to the film that launched a thousand machetes, Halloween, which birthed the slasher genre. Expect the unexpected, as this story seeks to terrify at every turn. Our killer isn’t obsessed with just the gruesome deaths resulting from a murderous game of cat and mouse, but in his demented passion to generate utter hopelessness.
Logline: A seemingly supernatural serial killer traps and stalks the crew of a retro style horror film with a maniacal game of hide and seek in a movie that, while paying sincere homage to Carpenter’s iconic Halloween and other slasher classics, attempts to reinvent the genre.
