My name is Marc McCorkle and my business AutoMedix LLC is an Automotive repair and mobility installation facility looking to expand to a larger location to accommodate growing customer base. I am an ASE certified Master Technician with over 20 years experience in the automotive repair industry. I have extensive manufacture dealer knowledge and experience with Ford, GM, BMW, MINI, & Mazda specializing in vehicle diagnosis, repair and performance modification. I hold a National certification for automotive HVAC and have the ability to service R134 and 1234YF systems. I have also been approved by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) as an Adaptive Vehicle Modifier of mobility equipment for disabled individuals.
I am a former firefighter/first responder of Irmo, SC where I spent more than 13 years serving the community in that capacity between volunteer and paid positions. As a firefighter I have witnessed many lives impacted, injured or lost and I wish to provide an all inclusive facility for not only the community but for law enforcement, first responders and our military service members who have endured loss of limb or normal body function a place to have their vehicle services handled in a professional caring manner. For those altered military individuals, driving can be a way of life. A sign of freedom or independence. The ability to be independent and get themselves to and from places or appointments helps to restore their confidence and manner of reason for living. I would like my current business to also serve as an installation facility to assist these brave men and women in their journey to recovery. Their vehicle may be the tool that assists in that process. Customization and outfitting of their chosen vehicle to fit their specific needs would be a number one priority with the utmost safety in mind as well as comfort and ease of use. I have a strong desire to serve people and I wish to use my knowledge and experience to continue my service through my new business venture.
I wish to provide quality vehicle repairs at affordable, honest prices and hopefully begin to erase the stigma that seems to follow the automotive industry as being dishonest or crooked deceivers. I have been doing so now for 2 years and 7 months starting at my home garage, then a storage unit and now working out of a single bay 500 sqft. commercial facility. I have a current customer base of around 300 and growing at a rate of 2-4 new customers per week. All customers are serviced on an appointment based schedule and I even offer pickup and delivery of vehicles from their home due to so many individuals working from home these days with less time to logistically mange taking their cars in for service or maintenance. My company also works with a small "buy here pay here" dealership and serves as a Pre-delivery inspection & repair facility. This is managed by an agreed upon contract and funded on a weekly revenue basis for services rendered. I have reached a point where I am beginning to feel pressure of not being able to keep up with all the different aspects of the business and maintain quality customer service. I would like to build or lease my own stand alone facility, hire some quality employees and begin managing the growth of my business rather than working in my business. Any assistance in achieving this goal would be greatly appreciated.
Best Regards,
Marc D. McCorkle
