INTRO

Art on Demand is the concept that will revolutionize the way small artists break into the wholesale market and get in front of the decision-making buyers who want to find their work.  We will offer a one-stop shop with the capacity to manufacture everything from paper products, textiles, apparel, custom packaging and shipping, as well as key word marketing and buyer targeting/filtering based on geography, style, subject, etc.  We will become the solution center for artists to figure out the best way to produce their product, collaborate, share ideas, and mentor each other.  Sublimation is the easiest and likely primary service line.  I anticipate screen printing, Direct to Film (DTF), engraving and cut and sew options to be major services lines as well.

The user interface is a critical component to the business model.  We will custom build a robust website where artists will be able to control their profile and product pages with a few simple clicks.  They can set their pricing or use our recommended pricing.  Depending on the level of service they require, they will receive varying monthly net percentage payouts based on sales.  They can also indicate whether they accept custom artwork/design inquiries, thus allowing buyers the option of having custom designs at higher price points.  Buyers will also be able to create profile pages which detail their interests so that artists can reach out to them to introduce their artwork and products for potential sales.

These services are marketable in the broader community as well and we will be able to cater to non-profits at a more attractive price point and facilitate local artists designing for local non-profits.

Multiple revenue stream opportunities exist from membership fees, sales, buyer shows and key word advertising fees, etc.

Our goal is to provide artists and makers a fully customizable approach to manufacturing a broad range of products from functional to fine art and connect them with buyers via a robust interface to facilitate access to retail and wholesale success.

BACKGROUND:
I earned an MBA from the University of Utah in 2012.  Most of my career has been in healthcare administration before I left that to venture into the world of for-profit.  I have dedicated the past 3 years to building a brand with one artist, Grace Wolf, from Alaska.  Our brand is called Alaskan Accents.  I have learned all the ins and outs of sublimation printing and print 90% of our products myself.  I have created relationships with buyers and suppliers, invested thousands of dollars on product testing and printing technique, figured out cost-effective shipping to dozens of small Alaskan communities, and have worked on my branding and packaging relentlessly.  I anticipate between $80-$100,000 in revenue this year, primarily from wholesale accounts.

MARKET OPPORTUNITY
I have repeatedly been approached by other artists asking if I will work with them as well.  There is an incredible need among the artist community to connect artists with the knowledge base for how to mass produce and market their products, and then connect them with buyers.  There are companies out there that will perform some of the necessary functions, but not all, and none of them easily facilitate wholesale account pricing.  In my current capacity, I cannot meet this demand which is why it is time to take the next step.

SCALE
As the model is proven successful, additional production facilities will come online throughout the country to meet demand.
