My innovative idea is to disrupt Squamish, BC's rapidly growing market by introducing the first hourly hot tub and cold plunge commercial location, where customers come to my prime location in downtown Squamish to enjoy a relaxing and luxurious private water therapy experience. Currently, there is nothing like this in Squamish and my business model is affordable, accessible, and streamlined. Squamish is a world-class destination for athletes and one of Canada's Top 10 fastest-growing communities. New high-density apartment buildings are being built every day, and none feature any amenities more than a storage room. Right now, there's an incredible opportunity to introduce preventative healthcare, apres ski activities, and recreation that doesn't involve alcohol & bars.
Squamish sees over 600,000 annual visitors and is located within 45 minutes of Vancouver and 35 minutes to Whistler (the largest ski area in North America). Introducing luxurious hourly hot tub and cold plunge rentals to the Squamish market will be a game changer. The business will become a premier destination in the area and will have access to over 80% of the market (age 14 and up *with an adult*). With my business model, the average price to sit in the tub for an hour would be $50 making it both affordable and accessible for individuals and small groups of friends. The business would have 8 hot tubs (4-person and 2-person mix), 4 cold plunges, and 3 part-time employees, operating from 10 am to midnight.
I am a serial entrepreneur and have owned 2 businesses, one being extremely successful as one of the world's top resume-writing companies. I also developed/own a mobile app for Android and iOS. I hold an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing and know how to run all aspects of the business from brand strategy and marketing to financial reporting, operations and technology implementation. I am extraordinarily motivated to bring this business to market and have all of the necessary pieces of the business (location, designers, developers, and software) ready to deploy.
