Our mission is to service retiring baby boomers and others living below the poverty level in need of affordable housing. With 10,000 baby boomers retiring every day and approximately 40 percent on social security and as this elderly population grows, the rate of senior housing new construction along with other health care facilities are not keeping pace. Also, there is an estimated 12 million renters, veterans and homeowner households that now pay more than 50% of their annual incomes for housing.

AmeriGroup Funds, LLC (AGF) consists of a team of seasoned and experienced HUD approved architects and developers along with consultants, and financial strategists partnering together to address the critical need of affordable housing in certain areas that need it most. Specialties include complex tax credit and tax-exempt bond transactions, including deals utilizing the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC). With a combined team experience of over 65 years, and a record of hundreds of million dollars in development remodel and new construction projects completed. Our team of successful developers, architects, consultants and finance strategists gives us a unique advantage for the benefit of our owners, clients and investors.
Each investor will participate as a member of a special purpose vehicle (SPV) and LLC built around the development of each specific project. The SPV will be comprised of our Development Team (DT) and members of the LLC and owners of the assets. The DT will be the program manager for this project to oversee the project through the development funding, master planning, design management, construction management, and project commissioning.

Lead Developer Credentials
Our Lead Developer serves as the Managing Partner of AmeriGroup Development and Principal (Franklin L. Lassiter, AIA, Architect-Mississippi) of FLLA has over 35 years of experience in project development strategies and feasibility, design, architectural and engineering practice, codes and ordinances consultations and construction administration of projects throughout the southeastern region of United States, the Caribbean, and West Africa.
His areas of professional focus include Project Development, Development Strategies, Financing Strategies, Client consultation, and program management. From 1973 to 2000 he was a Professor at Southern University School of Engineering and Architecture and was also an adjunct professor at LSU School of Environmental Design. He lectured courses in structural design, earthquake design, architectural design, master planning, building systems, electrical and mechanical systems, Codes and Ordinances, Renewable Energy Systems, Construction Management and Life Safety.
Numerous African American architects in Mississippi and Louisiana have interned under his architectural organization or Professorship at Southern University and Louisiana State University. The foundation years of Mr. Lassiter's professional career were focused upon design and delivery of high-rise commercial buildings, multi-family projects, and institutional projects.
He interned at Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill in Chicago and San Francisco offices where he served on teams that produced several recognized major facilities such as the Sears Tower, John Hancock Tower, Union Square Hyatt House Hotel, Water Tower Place, and 150 South Wacker Drive Highrise in Chicago, Illinois.
He has worked with various agencies, church associations, small towns and municipalities, foundations, and non-profit groups by assisting them with project strategy assessment, pre-design studies, master planning for site development, project funding and financing acquisition, life cycle cost analyses, energy efficiency studies, value analysis, environmental studies, zoning processing assistance, site and building utilization studies, and economic feasibility studies.
His client and project base regionally diversified and includes engagements in Nebraska, Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, Trinidad-Tobago, Haiti, Nassau, Bahamas. FLL&A provides services on a continual basis to international clients in, Nigeria, Ghana, Nassau, Bahamas, Scarborough, and Trinidad-Tobago.
