My name is Daniel and I'm the CEO of Vehicle Road Service, Inc. I have been in the towing and roadside business since 1996. I founded Vehicle Road Service, Inc. in 2015 performing basic roadside needs, such as Jump Starts, Lockouts, Tire Changes, Fuel Deliveries, with no towing. I have based my business model on the concept that we can keep overhead low by using vehicles other than tow trucks to perform light service calls. We can also keep ETA's accurate by not having to perform tow's to random, or changing destinations. This has made us a leader throughout Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois with our clients. We hold contracts with AAA and Agero along with several other motor clubs and insurance companies. With 99% of our work coming through the motor clubs and insurance companies, we average 600-700 calls a month for service. Our business model involves the development of our own applications in order for us to compete with our current clients on a national level providing 3 specific services, those being Lockouts, Jump Starts, Fuel Deliveries. We have been testing a program using a couple apps and sub-contractors to perform these services. We have found that the sub-contractors that are ride share providers work best. They make more money performing our calls than performing a ride share and we make more money sending them on the service calls because of less overhead.
Our vision is to have an app developed under 844-JUMP-YOU that connects customers to a sub-contractor that can perform the service call in 30 minutes or less, nationwide. The subcontractors will purchase the equipment, up front or through a purchase program, to perform the service calls directly from us and will receive training from us on the proper use of the equipment. We are accommodating to the "need it now" generation that doesn't want to wait for service.
The request for 5 million is for app development, equipment purchasing, training program development, and marketing. The app development is expected to take 6-8 months before going live on both IOS and Android. The app development and support is expected to range between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00 prior to going live. Nationwide marketing campaigns are expected to run in the $1,000,000.00 range for billboards, TV, radio commercials. A digital training program development cost is expected to run $100,000.00, and additional equipment purchasing costs will be around $100,000.00. The other costs associated will be with office staff, an accounting firm, licensing, and operational overhead including wages while rolling out the product.
